Orin’s BioBlitz Saturday 13th to Sunday 14th July

A Bioblitz is an intense period of biological surveying over 24 hours in an attempt to record all the living species within a designated area. 

Sat 13th July Bat Evening - 9.30pm talk followed by bat walk around St Catherine's led by the knowledgeable John Martin. Limited spaces for bat evening booking essential, email garethandro@woodmatters.org.uk

Sunday 14th July 9am - 5pm - Open Day Footprint, Windermere

Join Orin and a team of enthusiastic experts on a day to discover what lives in the habitats around Footprint.

'Our challenge...To record every living species on site'.

Learn where to look for wildlife, from big to small and how to identify what you’ve found. 

It will be a really fun interactive day suitable for all ages with lots of walks and activities running throughout the day. 

Moths, trees, birds, mammals, plants, insects, lichens, pond & stream life...Surveys, Arts & Crafts, Microscopes, Displays

Come all day or drop in (no need to book) - suitable for all ages


PARKING for Sunday is at Elleray School LA23 1AP - Park your car and follow the signs for a short 10 min walk through the woods to Footprint
